GODT NYTÅR til alle

2016 er startet og der sker sindsygt meget på teknologi området. Internet of Things tordner frem og med god grund. Det er smart at udnytte dimser, net og kodning af smarte funktioner, dataopsamling, data benyttelse m.m. og både store og små kunder, partnere og forbrugere har set dette.

For at samle inspiration, viden og erfaring med vægt på at dele, er vi en lille gruppe, der har startet et nyt community i Danmark:
Internet of Things Communitiet (Man kan blive medlem ved at tilmelde sig vores Linkedin gruppe IOT Community DK ).
Gruppens medlemmer er ALLE med interesse indenfor IOT og i første omgang har vi to undergrupper: Teknisk interesserede og Business interesserede.

Første Community møde afholdes hos Microsoft i Lyngby den 22. januar kl. 13.30-16.00 – Tilmelding er nødvendigt og kan gøres her: IOT community møde den 22/1

ImagineCup – the Microsoft competition and challenges for students.

There are a lots of oppertunities both for experienced end beginners: I have highlighted deadlines and a few lines for each different challenge/competition you can enter – and you can participate in all of them.

  1. Big Idea challenge with prizes of $3000 on each challenge: (Note you can participate in the ones you want – no requirement to participate in all)
    1. Pitch challenge – Deadline 30/9
    2. Plan Challenge – Deadline 28/10
    3. Design Challenge – Deadline 25/11
  2. Hello Cloud – learn about cloud development-   NOTE: You have access to Azure (cloud) via Dreamspark for free.
    Deadline every last Tuesday in a month. Prize $1000 (per challenge)
  3. Imagine CUP Competition –  Prize $50.000 (and a lot more 🙂 )
    Rules are a) up to 4 students in one team (+ a mentor). b) One of the students has to be a legal residant of Denmark
    You can create your imagineCup account now and submit your work from 1/1-2016.
    Deadline for submission is 15/3-2016 (as we’re running the online competion here in DK).

Vi fik afholdt den danske ImagineCup finale komplet med spænding, hårdt arbejde og flotte pitchs.

ImagineCUP Rules and requirements

This BlogPost is for all students participating in our Danish final for  ImagineCup.  (The Local site will be updated in Danish )

 

DEADLINE for submission is March the 30 rd 2014 (midnight) 🙂

I want to outline the rules and requirements for participating.

You can participate with a team of 4 members (+ a mentor/advisor). You have to be students and if not danish citizen then legal student in Denmark.

ImagineCup has 3 rounds.
Round 1: The Danish Final where we’ll find a winner from each categori (World Citizenship, Games, Innovation). The Final will be held April the 29th at Vega, Cph. We’re doing a Youthspark event to boost career, possibilities etc the very same day and end the day with the BIG FINAL of IMAGINECUP – you can participate the entire day by signing up here
If you are selected to be amoung the finalist to the finale you’ll be invited directly also.

You will get notified by Friday the 11th of April if you’re amoung the finalists.
(We select 3 finalists from each categori to pitch at the Final the 29th of April in Vega, Cph)

The jurypanel is selected very careful and we’re proud to annonce that  Jonathan Løw (www.listenlouder.dk) and Sussi Bianco (www.sussibianco.dk) have accepted the challenge – update on jury members  here

To Participate you have to submit

  • the Project Proposal (max 10 Pages) (in english)
  • and the App (Publish to the stores not required) together with a short description of how to use the app.

Remember to make clear in your Project Proposal: What are your app doing, for whom, why. The potentials for your app, the business model (how will you earn money if that’s the case), marketing plan, resources needed and of course also your team + the network).

If Selected to Pitch at the Final:

You’re getting an invitation to the 29th of April (Pitch begins 15.30 – but we’re offering Pitch mentoring from 12.00)

For the Pitch you have 6 minutes (at the big final you have 10 minutes). Max 20 slides. + Demo of the App.

A winner from each categori are going to Round 2.

Extra work here is to Upload a Video. You have one week to do so – which means deadline for that is April the 6th.
Round 2 is an online “semifinal” and winners from that is going to the BIG FINAL in Seattle (Round 3).
